Description
Sumptuary Purple is a deep, royal imperial purple shade, with a slight blue undertone. A purple colour which was popular in the 1970s.
Amelio’s oil-based paint is effective on both interior and exterior woodwork and metalwork due to its hard-wearing nature. Using a traditional oil-based paint creates a deeper bond to surfaces than the quick-drying paints. This creates increased longevity and excellent flow when applying. A perfect paint option which maintains originality in your restorations, made in Britain. Our Gloss finish reflects light magnificently, making it practical but also tasteful. Choosing a gloss finish also makes it washable, making it easy to remove any marks. Amelio’s oil-based Eggshell produces a perfect low sheen option for your wood and metalwork. Much like the gloss, it is weather resistant and washable, but with a muted shine. Favouring naturally occurring pigments and oils, our main aim is to formulate a traditional oil-based paint, but as sustainably as possible. Our oil-based paints are friendly to the environment. Perfect for adding some more life into multiple exterior projects including (but not limited to) sheds, furniture, window frames, doors, bird boxes! Also suitable for use on interior surfaces such as skirting boards, interior trims, railings, radiators and furniture!
Extra info:
All of our oil-based paints are Hard Dry in 4 hours and can be re-coated after 12 hours (when the temperature is at 20°C).
When applying Sumptuary Purple to a bare metal surface, we recommend using an etch primer. For all other surfaces we recommend using a filler primer to create a pristine finish. If you are painting a door and wanting an impeccable, flat finish we do recommend also using a coat of undercoat before applying your topcoat. Undercoats are mixed to order in any colour, to perfectly match your topcoat.
